At the Restaurant - Part 1

July 21-25, 2015

Grades 7 - 8

Theme: At the Restaurant

Form: new vocabulary (food, drinks)

Function: asking/answering (for food)

Objective: to introduce vocabulary about food, to practice oral and listening skills.

                      

Warm up: Speaking and Listening. Teacher asks students what are their favorite restaurants, food, etc. 10’

Follow-up 1. Speaking, Listening and Writing. Students name different types of food they can find in a restaurant. Teacher writes it on the board and makes them to write it on their notebooks. 20’ 

Follow-up 2. Listening and Writing. Students listen to the (voki) exercise and complete it. 10’

Follow-up3. Listening. Students look at the pictures (PDF) and listen what the teacher dictates. It will be two words from each row so the students have work out the correct pictures. 10’

Wrap-up. Reading. Students read the vocabulary (on page 13 of the guideline) and practice pronunciation. Teacher checks if they know already the vocabulary. 10’.
